ABOUT SKINPEN MICRONEEDLING

If it’s a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, minimized pores, faded stretch marks, diminished scars, or tighter, lifted skin you’re in search of, try microneedling.

SkinPen microneedling is an innovative way to increase your body’s production of collagen. It will activate the body’s natural ability to heal and repair itself, leaving skin healthy and rejuvenated.

SkinPen’s fine needle technology is so advanced that it’s even safe for sensitive areas around the eyes, lips, and nose. If you want to flip on your skin’s healing switch, you should absolutely consider microneedling.

OUR PROCESS

If you think SkinPen microneedling might be right for you, our aesthetician will examine your skin tone and texture at a free consultation to confirm that you’re a good candidate for the service. We’ll also address other skin concerns with synergistic treatments that can improve your overall appearance. Since no cosmetic regimen is “one-size-fits-all,” we approach every patient with a customized plan to reach your specific goals

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS*

Does microneedling hurt?

Treatments are relatively painless. To minimize discomfort, a topical anesthetic is applied 30 minutes before the procedure. This will render the treatments virtually pain-free.

How long does microneedling take?

Microneedling takes about an hour. Coupled with other treatments, it might take longer. Ask your medical provider how long you can expect treatment to take.

How much downtime should I expect after treatment?

Microneedling requires preparation and will come with a day or so of downtime. Avoid the sun before and after treatment. Do not wear makeup to treatment, and don’t put it on for at least 24 hours after. You’ll need to avoid swimming, saunas, and exercise for at least 24 hours as well. You’ll look like you have a sunburn and your skin will feel warmer and tighter than normal directly after treatment. This will only last for a few hours. The aesthetician might apply hyaluronic acid and a healing moisturizer to your skin to soothe it directly after treatment. If you’re in doubt about what you can and can’t do after microneedling, be sure to ask your aesthetician.

How often should I come in for microneedling?

You’ll see results soon after the first treatment, but we recommend that you come in for 4-6 treatments, spaced about a month apart. This will ensure that your skin continues to improve over time and maximize your results.

What other services should I consider to enhance the results of microneedling?

We offer a variety of facials to soothe skin and improve its texture and tone along with a microneedling regimen, as well. Many patients pair microneedling with fillers and injectables for a comprehensive approach to their skin’s texture and tone.
